"We are approaching the one-year anniversary of the My Mortgage Toolbox (MMT) launch and the response has been phenomenal!
Our goal was to create a tool that would not only make it easier for mortgage consumers to get qualified, but also give you the opportunity to offer an improved service to your clients.
We've made a number of enhancements during the year, most notably the pre-qualification tool which was launched in April.
Our latest upgrades are now available and we encourage you to update your app to get access to the new features.
The most recent version 2.7 includes:
• a refined pre-qualification algorithm for better accuracy (for instance, it now tells the user if they need mortgage insurance)
• updates to Montreal's Taxe de Bienvenue calculations and some minor updates to our French localization
• the ability to text message summary reports from any of the tools by using the ‘options’ button in the top right corner
Past improvements include:
• the Rental Income Offset, giving you the ability to take rental income into consideration when calculating the maximum mortgage
• updates to the Municipality Land Transfer in the Total Monthly Cost report
• better security and easier login and signup process
We will continue to update the network when new MMT enhancements are made."
