I noticed something the other night on social.

 

Another broker posting about being #21 or #28 in revenue.
Out of curiosity, I checked mine —
#8 in Canada.
#2 in Ontario.

 

Cool.

 

But honestly… who cares?

 

Some do it solo. Some run teams. Some use it to recruit.

It’s fine — to each their own.

 

Then come the photo shoots.
The “teams that hang together win together” posts.
The self-written bios in third person.

 

Maybe it works. Maybe it doesn’t.
Maybe the flex generates business.
I just think most of it misses the mark.

 

You could argue — why write this if you disagree?

 

Fair question.
But this isn’t going on TikTok or IG.
It’s going here —
where people actually understand business.

 

Where execution still matters.
Where reputation means more than reach.

 

That’s why I love commercial and niche lending.

 

You can’t fake it.
There’s no trending audio for a $7M refinance.
No highlight reel for solving a covenant breach.

 

You either get it done, or you don’t.

 

No filters.
No hype.
Just real work. Real results.

 

And for anyone scrolling through all the posts thinking you’re not winning —
remember:
you don’t need to show it to prove it.
