TWT - Giving A Helping Hand
Over the past two months its been a very unique world, both personally and professionally.  Health, safety and happiness on the forefront for most families and businesses, but also a sense of compassion and giving back if able to.

Because of our amazing clients, referral sources, friends, family and community support, the businesses we run under our TWT banner are fortunate to still be working and making differences in the marketplace.

We have been looking at getting more involved in charitable work and ultimately decided the best impact we can make is to collect a percentage of our revenue and give it to professionally managed organizations that know how to make an impact.

We are proud to join a few groups very close to our communities and others that have touched us all in different ways - 100 Brokers who Care, 100 Guys who Care & much more...

100 Brokers who Care is very close to our mortgage brokerage community. The organization is made up of 146 Mortgage Brokers or Industry Peers and growing in Western & Eastern Canada.  Each quarter, member puts forward $100 and we vote on a worthy cause. Collectively the group donates $14,600 per quarter and $58,400/year.

100 Guys who Care is very close to the community our business operates in and calls home, Oakville ON.  The Mission is simple: Bring together 100 plus guys each quarter in Oakville & Halton who care about local community causes and committed to helping them out. The group meets 4 times a year for an hour, network and vote for a local charity.  Each person writes a check for $100 and $10,000 or more is donated each quarter.

The Giving Tree - With family in Madison Wisconsin, The Giving Tree is a way to support families in need over the holidays. From clothes, gifts and food, its an important initiative to support everyone from newborns through the elderly that need essential items or a little something special to get through the cold winters. TWT increases the amount of families each year, supporting over 8 families in 2019 with the goal to increase the number we can support year after year.

Dominion Lending Centre's National Charity - Our brokerages National Charity is Bullying Ends Here. Their mission is to end all forms of bullying through educational content.

Next Steps:

1. With a brother who is still active and well known in Para-sport and more specifically Para Ice Hockey (Sledge Hockey) - representing Team Canada in 4 Para Olympics and multiple World Championships as team captain, TWT is looking to see where Greg sees a good fit to allocate capital for future athletes and those in need with disabilities.

2. With an entire family of Westlake, starting from parents through children who have been donors and supporters of the Oakville Hospital Foundation, TWT is looking to see the best opportunity to make a long term impact.

In times of need TWT will always try to run towards the fire not away from it.  As we become aware of other great organizations we will continue to support to the best of our ability.  Our objective in the near future is to continue to increase the percentage of our revenue to allow us the ability to onboard a new organization each year to support in perpetuity.

Sincerely,
