Curler Forrest, hockey player Westlake named Canadas flag-bearers for Paralympics opening ceremony
Just when the world could use some positive news, we get some. Thousands of remarkable athletes from around the globe have taken massive steps and made remarkable sacrifices for the chance to represent their country in the Paralympic Games.

Travelling across the globe, for the most part without families beside them, during a global pandemic, war and complicated political environment.  All for the chance to bring home one of the most coveted medals available in their sport, memories, pride and Nationalism.
In sport, when you are on the road, going into a hostile environment, you dig deep and lean on your teammates to get you through it.  Your teammates become your family, your friends and there is nothing you wont do for them. You get through the challenges you face through love, trust, strength, support, collaboration, dedication, past experience and heart.  If there was ever time for everyone to dig deep and share in these same attributes these athletes, and especially our Canadian Paralympics Athletes uphold, it is now!

The Paralympics has grown from a small gathering of war veterans to becoming one of the largest international sporting events. I am super proud to be supporting these amazing athletes, including my brother 3 time Paralympic Medalist (Gold, Silver & Bronze), 6 Time World Medalist (2x gold, 2x Silver, 2x Bronze) and more importantly leader, former team Captain and most recently Flag Bearer for Team Canada in Beijing 2022!

These Athletes and my brother, give me the encouragement, motivation and core values that have helped me become who i am today.
Go Canada Go!

Scott Westlake
Proud Big Brother
